Trehellas House Hotel in Washaway, Cornwall

From inn to courthouse to hotel

A house with a story to tell.

Built around 1745, our Grade II listed building has long been part of village life in Washaway. Originally known as the Washaway Inn, it welcomed travellers and locals before also serving as a courthouse.

Magistrates’ hearings continued here into the 20th century. Today, the spacious Courtroom Suite is a reminder of that past.

Trehellas House now welcomes guests for comfortable stays, relaxed dining and special occasions. Our individually named bedrooms, lounges, restaurant and conservatory each offer their own piece of the house’s character.

Hospitality that feels personal.

We believe the best visits are built around simple things: a friendly welcome, somewhere comfortable to stay and a good meal. Whether you’re here for one evening or a longer break, we look forward to meeting you.
